Terms of Service
Last updated · 30 September 2026
These terms govern your use of We Are One Voice (WAOV) at waov.art — our website, where members of our VRChat karaoke collective book vocal and DJ coaching lessons. By signing in or booking a lesson you agree to them. We have written them in plain language; where a clause is worth arguing about we have tried to say plainly what it means.
1 · What WAOV is
WAOV is a karaoke collective that meets in VRChat, plus a website for the practical parts: booking lessons with our teachers, uploading a recording for feedback, and keeping your lesson recaps and files together. We are a small independent collective, not a corporation, and not a booking agency for anyone else.
Everything we do is to teach singing and DJing. We are not a social network, we do not host user posts, and we do not publish images of people who have not agreed to appear.
2 · Who can use it
You need a Google, Discord, or Steam account to sign in. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the account.
3 · Booking and paying for a lesson
- Booking. When you book a lesson, a booking record is created with the lesson type, date, time, and any note you add. That record is what both you and the trainer work from.
- Payment. Payments and trainer payouts run through PayPal. We never see or store your card number — we keep the outcome and the reference, not the card.
- Refunds and changes. If you need to cancel or move a lesson, email us at the address in section 12 as early as you can. We will say plainly what happens to the payment rather than leaving you to guess.
- No guarantee of a specific outcome. We will teach you properly and give you real feedback. We cannot promise a particular result, a particular booking, or a place in a lineup.
4 · Lesson recordings
If you upload a recording of yourself, or if a lesson is recorded, that file is stored so your trainer can review it and so you can keep the recap. You keep whatever rights you already had in your own recording. By uploading, you give WAOV the permission needed to store it, show it to the trainer working with you, and keep it as part of your lesson record — and nothing wider than that.
Consent matters here. Do not upload a recording of another person without their agreement. Every recording on WAOV belongs to the person in it, or to the person who holds the rights in it. We remove anything we are asked to remove.
5 · Teacher profiles and images
Every teacher profile, photograph, and video on this site belongs to the person it depicts and is published with their agreement. We do not generate synthetic likenesses of anyone, and we do not use artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems to create, edit, or distribute images of people.
Specifically, and without limit, we do not produce, host, or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (AI NCII), and we do not use Google APIs to do so. If you are a person shown here and you want something removed, email us and we will take it down. If you are reporting an image that depicts someone without consent, treat that as urgent and we will treat it that way.
6 · What you agree not to do
- Do not upload sexual content, intimate imagery, or anything non-consensual.
- Do not upload material you do not own, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not try to reach another member's account, dashboard, lessons, or files.
- Do not use WAOV to send unsolicited messages, or to harass anyone.
- Do not scrape, resell, or republish our teachers' material as your own.
- Do not upload malware, or interfere with the site working for everyone else.
We remove accounts that break these rules. Where a rule has been broken and someone has been harmed, we may also tell the person affected.
7 · Your account
One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account while it is yours.
8 · Ending your account
You can close your account yourself, at any time, from delete-account.html. No email required and no hidden steps. When you do, your account is deleted along with your profile, your bookings, your lesson notes, and your lesson files. We are not allowed to keep your account alive but closed instead — deletion means deletion.
The one thing that survives is payment and tax records, and only for as long as the law requires us to keep them. That is a legal obligation, not a choice, and it is described in the privacy policy.
9 · Availability and changes
Lessons run when our teachers are free, and those times can change. We will give you as much notice as we reasonably can when a lesson moves or a teacher is unavailable. We may change, add, or retire parts of the service; if a change removes something you have paid for, we will either provide it or refund it.
10 · Our responsibility
We take reasonable care with your account, your recordings, and your payment details, and we will tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay if something goes wrong that affects you. No system is perfect, and we cannot promise that the service will never have an outage, a delay, or a defect.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or any right you have under data protection law. Where a clause here would limit something you cannot lawfully give up, it does not apply.
11 · Intellectual property
Your lesson material stays yours. Our teaching material, curriculum, lesson recap template, site design, and written lessons stay ours. You may use what we teach you in your own singing and DJing; you may not resell our material as a course of your own.
12 · Contact
For anything about these terms — a booking question, a removal request, a complaint, or a question before you sign up — email ifoundmiles1@googlegroups.com. It reaches the operator of We Are One Voice directly. We aim to answer within 30 days, and we will always answer an image or consent complaint faster than that.
These terms are governed by the law that applies where the operator of WAOV is based. Nothing here removes your right to complain to your local data protection authority.
13 · Changes to these terms
When these terms change we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects you materially, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use WAOV after that means you accept the change.
Read these terms alongside the privacy policy. The privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it; these terms explain what you agree to do. If you want to know what happens to your data, the privacy policy is the one you want.
